it all starts with you.

In February 2021, I was in a job that was slowly killing me. I would wish for Fridays and by Sunday I would get myself into a panic about the week ahead. It was this vicious cycle. Again and again. Until I was scrolling on Tik Tok and came across what a virtual assistant is. A lightbulb went on. This could be what gets me out of this darkness. I had no idea how I would make it work but I knew it had to. I decided to take the jump, and spent my last £150 on a masterclass that taught me how to get started. 10 days later I was booked out. 33 days after that I handed in my notice and I have been self employed ever since. Imagine if I never gave myself the chance to choose something for myself. Everyone told me I was reckless and that this isn't a “real job.” I was taught you shouldn't love your job - that it doesn't exist. I'm living proof that you don't need to dread Mondays, you don't need to live for 2 days of the week. Yes running a business is hard but to have the freedom to listen to my body, and work when and where I want - it's a dream that's become a reality.
